Jake Weiss, PhD

President & CEO

Prior to his role at Coachability Consultants, Jake served as a Senior Consultant and the Research Lead for Inteflex, Inc., a management consulting firm focused on driving Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) in the Health Sciences / BioPharma Industry.  During his Doctoral studies, he worked on NASA-funded projects to uncover optimal crew composition and interaction patterns for long-duration space exploration (LDSE).

Jake earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida (UCF), where he also played Division 1 soccer.  He earned his Ph.D. in Industrial / Organizational (I/O) Psychology, with a specialization in employee coachability and organizational coaching, from DePaul University in Chicago.

Marcia McDermott

Performance

Marcia brings a wealth of experience both as a coach and as an executive from college to professional – and to the international levels of sport.  

She won a championship as a Head Coach with the Carolina Courage of Women’s United Soccer Association (WUSA), led as the General Manager for the Chicago Red Stars of Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) and served as an Assistant Coach to the 2011 US Women’s National Team (USWNT). 

In addition, she has coached at multiple Division I college programs, served as a scout for the USWNT in two Olympics (2008, 2012), and as a consultant at Inteflex, Inc.  Marcia is also an ICF (International Coaching Federation) certified Business and Professional Coach.

Neal Outland, PhD

Head Analytics Consultant

Dr. Outland brings extensive experience as both an organizational scholar and practitioner. He has led numerous projects in organizations centered around determining optimal team structures, driving change management initiatives, and developing + implementing employee assessments and talent management strategies.

Dr. Outland is currently an Assistant Professor of Industrial / Organizational (I/O) Psychology at the University of Georgia where he develops research on team composition, team dynamics and the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the workplace. During his Doctoral studies, he worked on NASA-funded projects to uncover optimal crew composition and interaction patterns for long-duration space exploration (LDSE).

Gabriel Plummer, PhD

Program Design

Gabriel Plummer, Ph.D. brings a unique blend of I/O Psychology and Communications expertise, and a strong prowess in developing and leading executive assessments and coaching, to the Coachability Consultants, Inc. leadership team. He boasts extensive experience in these areas from his tenure at DDI as a Senior Assessor. As a doctoral student, Gabe acted as the Project Lead on a $1 million NASA funded grant, focused on pinpointing the optimal crew for the Mission to Mars.

He received his M.S. in I/O Psychology from Georgia Institute of Technology. Continuing to pursue his passion, Gabe earned his Ph.D. in Communication Studies from Northwestern University.
